The laboratory provides support to the company’s digital transformation, developing new capabilities in terms of Digital Twin and advanced simulation applied to products and processes (in all development phases). Studies involve Big Data to manage the extraction and archiving of large quantities of data from diverse sources, using the computational power of the High Performance Computing davinci-1 computer and its Cloud platform.
HPC/Cloud/Big Data Technologies
Research Unit
Digital Twin and advanced simulation
The research unit studies solutions to create the company’s Digital Twin, assessing various technologies and creating increasingly complex prototypes. A Digital Twin can also be used to develop diagnostic/prognostic predictive models and to optimise training and maintenance systems.
Researchers: Ivan Spisso, Daniele Malacrida, Marco Jacopo Ferrarotti
HPC and Cloud
The research unit is involved in the development of digital solutions based on the capabilities of High Performance Computing and the Cloud platform, with the aim of supporting the company’s transformation efforts and growing requirements across multiple applications.
Researcher: Antonio Sciarappa
Big Data
The research unit develops new methods to manage, process and convert in real time a large volume of structured, semi-structured and unstructured data from diverse sources. The aim is to create real-time data analysis systems for applications that support decision-making, logistics and predictive maintenance.
