The economic, geopolitical, environmental, and social changes taking place globally make the sustainable transition process increasingly urgent, requiring the joint commitment of institutions, civil society, and enterprises to preserve the future of the Planet and its inhabitants.
The route is set by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations Agenda 2030, which are encouraging enterprises to accelerate the integration of the ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) dimension into business.
With the report “Sustainability in action 2024”, Leonardo illustrates its contribution: results, objectives, initiatives, and technological solutions in the main areas of intervention, ranging from the safety of citizens and infrastructures to climate action, from decarbonisation to the circular economy, in addition to the full involvement of the supply chain and activities dedicated to the valorisation of its people and external communities.
Digitalisation of products and processes, data-driven approach, reduction of scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, technological innovation, and skills: these are the main enablers for the sustainable transition of the Group and its supply chain, as part of the broader global collective responsibility for safeguarding the Planet and granting its inhabitants a safer future.
