On 1st July 2020, at 10 am, we will talk about technologies and drones, and in particular about Artificial Intelligence applied to Uncrewed. This second entirely digital event promoted by Leonardo will be an opportunity to learn more about the Leonardo Drone Contest and the competing teams who will present the projects they are working on, ahead of the first competition in September.
Federico Ferrazza, Editor in Chief of Wired Italy, will moderate the debate in which Laurent Sissmann, Uncrewed Systems Manager at Leonardo, Roberto Cingolani, Chief Technology & Innovation Officer of Leonardo and representatives of the six Italian universities participating in the Leonardo Drone Contest, will take part. The six universities are Politecnico di Torino, Politecnico di Milano, Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies, University of Bologna, Tor Vergata University of Rome and University of Naples Federico II.
The Leonardo Drone Contest is an Uncrewed Open Innovation challenge, designed and launched last year by Leonardo in collaboration with six Italian universities. Within this project Leonardo is supporting the activities of six PhD students (one per university) who, for three years, will be engaged in the development of an autonomous drone driving system, sharing university and business resources and knowledge.
For more information on the Leonardo Drone Contest visit the dedicated section on the Leonardo website.
