Business Compliance oversees the process relating to the appointment by Leonardo S.p.A. and the Group’s Companies of commercial intermediaries to support the business (e.g., commercial advisory, sales promotion, commercial distribution/reselling and - with exclusive reference to the subsidiaries under foreign law - lobbying agreements), through the following activities:
- ethical-reputational analysis (due diligence), prior to the signing of the contract and in the checks preliminary to the payment
- risk analysis and identification of mitigation actions
- drafting of intermediary contracts which include appropriate clauses and intermediaries’ obligations aimed at protecting the Company from compliance risks.
Roles and responsibilities
The Business Compliance Structure consists of a Corporate structure, specific Organisational Units to oversee operational activities, and a Unit in charge of ensuring the application of the relevant directives by the Italian and foreign subsidiaries.
