The call for applications for the second edition of CyberX – Mind4Future has been published, an initiative aimed at students of the partner universities of the Cyber 4.0 Competence Centre: La Sapienza, Tor Vergata, Roma Tre, LUISS Guido Carli, Campus Biomedico (Rome), University of Tuscia (Viterbo), University of Cassino and Southern Lazio (Cassino – FR), University of L’Aquila (L’Aquila). The programme is aimed at students of bachelor’s and master’s degree courses, in the STEM, Information and Economics sectors, enrolled in the academic years 2023/2024 and 2024/2025.
The course adopts a human-tech teaching model, which combines traditional training with practical and gaming activities in virtualised and immersive realities. The goal is to develop advanced technical skills (hard skills) and encourage the growth of soft skills, improving communication, teamwork, and decision-making skills of the participants.
The programme, which benefits from the teaching collaboration of Leonardo experts, includes a first phase of advanced online training, focused on specialised cybersecurity content, exercises and case study analysis. A second phase will be dedicated to “immersive training”: a "Capture the Flag" hacking competition, where students' goal is to identify and exploit the vulnerability of a computer system to accumulate points and a “Red Team” laboratory activity in which to simulate cyber-attacks in virtual environments, which reproduce real scenarios and situations.
The conclusion is scheduled for January 2025 with the awarding of prizes to the top ten and a financial reward.
