The Sustainability research area develops research activities required to master the challenge of global sustainable transformation, seeking innovative solutions that pursue a direct impact on environment and society. Key element of the research is to embed the sustainability solutions both in the production processes and in the development of new technologies, products and services.
Sustainability is a multidisciplinary matter by itself, consequently the research covers both cross-cutting topics with respect to the technologies areas of Leonardo Labs, and vertical dedicated research streams.
