Opened in 2009 in the Bacoli plant, near Naples, historically an Italian radar facility, the Museo del Radar was created to recover, preserve and pass on the memory of the radar production history started in the pioneering years of radar, in this specific site, over 60 years ago.
The museum holds an exhibition area that walks you through the history of the development of land and maritime radar and clearly explains the technological breakthroughs that have brought to the current production. In addition to the exhibition, the museum houses a very interesting documents archive with numerous volumes on radar, both historical and modern. An area is dedicated to simulation, with three consoles configured to show three different operating scenario: terrestrial and maritime surveillance and air traffic control.
The Museo del Radar offers a unique and innovative experience as much as a journey through the present, past and future that allows customers, delegations, students and researchers to get into the history of our Company.
