Leonardo Announces New Partnership with MakeMyTrip Limited

Toronto, Canada and Gurgaon, India – February 4th, 2016 – Leonardo Worldwide Corporation today announced a new partnership with MakeMyTrip Limited, the parent company of MakeMyTrip, India’s largest online travel company, HotelTravel Limited of Malaysia and Easytobook Service of Netherlands.

Under the agreement, Leonardo is expanding a previous partnership with Easytobook.com with the entire MakeMyTrip Limited group and will power hotel visual content for its three main travel websites: MakeMyTrip.com, HotelTravel.com, and Easytobook.com and licensed white label solutions.

MakeMyTrip Limited, India’s most popular travel portal and largest e-commerce business in the country, includes MakeMyTrip.com, India’s leading online travel company and dominant market-leader with 47% market share in India; HotelTravel.com, a fast growing global network listing over 140,000 hotels worldwide; and Easytobook.com, a leading travel website with over 10 million booked room nights and 300,000 hotels worldwide.

MakeMyTrip Limited will subscribe to Leonardo’s MediaConnect product to source high quality photos for hotels listed on MakeMyTrip.com, HotelTravel.com and Easytobook.com. MediaConnect provides advanced XML connectivity based on OTA (Open Travel Alliance) standards to Leonardo’s database of rich hotel content.

MakeMyTrip Limited will also be integrating digital brochures for properties subscribing to Leonardo’s Vizlly Digital Marketing System within their details pages. These properties will have the added benefit of richer and more detailed stories of their hotels for the shopper to discover.

With MakeMyTrip Limited in Leonardo’s VNetwork, the most extensive visual media syndication network in the global travel industry, hotels now have the opportunity to reach and engage with MakeMyTrip Limited’s customers through a more visual story.

Seamless Image Sourcing and Processing
MakeMyTrip Limited will have access to over 1.5 million photos from the global travel industry’s largest hotel media library for over 100,000 GDS listed hotels globally.

MakeMyTrip Limited will benefit from MediaConnect’s seamless image sourcing and processing features including:

  • Delivery of media in multiple formats and sizes along with meta-data including categories and captions.
  • Brand and hotel certified content that is updated regularly to ensure accuracy and freshness of content on TBO Holiday’s platform and minimize rogue image issues.
  • Media sourcing through advanced XML connectivity based on industry standards from HTNG (Hotel Technology Next Generation) and Open Travel Alliance.

Engaging Multi-Media Display Through Integration with Vizlly
In addition to increased quality and quantity of hotel images sourced from Leonardo’s hotel media library, MakeMyTrip Limited will integrate Leonardo’s digital brochures for properties that subscribe to Vizlly Multi-Channel or DMS+, Leonardo’s Multi-Channel Digital Marketing System. These properties will now benefit from having the visual stories they create using Vizlly presented to travel shoppers on MakeMyTrip Limited’s websites, resulting in:
